From humble beginnings as a double orphan and head of the household at age 17 . A teenage mother and high school dropout. She not only become a world-renowned advocate for children, especially orphans and for these infected with and affected by HIV and AIDS. She is the first female Member of Parliament (MP) in her constituency Keembe since Zambia's independence and first Member of Parliament know publicly as HIV positive and an advocate. Honorable Kasune is the author of an autobiography called ?Warrior Princess?.She is the founder of Fountain of Life, a Non-Profit Organization that works with vulnerable children and poor communities in rural Zambia Africa. Fountain of Life partner with village communities and their families through building school, clinics, clean water and other educational and Health needs for children and families in rural Zambia. In 2002, she became the host and producer of her own national syndicated radio talk show, 'Positive Living'. This show ran for over 5 years and in 8 languages, and within a few months of its first broadcast, won recognition by the American Embassy in Zambia for 'Excellence in Broadcasting on HIV and AIDS'. She worked for World Vision from 2001 to 2008. First in Zambia within months she would later work for World Vision USA and other international offices namely- Australia, Canada, UK, Germany and New Zealand-Becoming a world renewed Activist, spokesperson and most sought after leading voices on HIV and AIDS and orphans/vulnerable children. Hon. Kasune holds two master degrees from Northpark University school of Bussiness in Nonprofit administration and Masters in Divinity from Northpark Theological Seminary. And currently working on her PHD from University of Zambia
