BACKGROUND :
Addressing Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) particularly in term of social or commercial determinants of NCDs is one of the major challenges to sustainable development in Thailand. To explore the appropriate solutions for NCDs difficulties need to possess the evidence to manifest the benefit and drawback of measures and national policies implementing at the present time. Additionally, the research showing the room for NCDs improvement is the initial method to create the applicable knowledge.
OBJECTIVES :
The Prince Mahidol Award Conference Side Meeting will present the NCDs research particularly the health promotion and disease prevention (early detection, early diagnosis for early treatment). In addition, applying research results to policy implementations such as NCDs policy formulation, practice-based use in case of NCDs care guidelines improvement in service delivery units will be also illustrated.
